Dr. James Darga Dr. James Darga began his professional career at the Ford Motor Company Research Center focusing his effort on the development of Electronic Engine Control System and Alternative Fuel projects. He began his career in education with the Detroit Public Schools teaching electronic engine control systems at the Breithaupt Vocational Technical Center. Dr. Darga has held administrative positions in three different school districts including the last twenty-six years with the Pinckney Community Schools where he served as the principal for twenty-two years. The last four years Dr. Darga has focused significant energy on developing the Pinckney Cyber Training Institute as well as the other Career and Technical Education programs housed at Pinckney Community High School.

Dr. Darga has earned five post-secondary degrees including a doctorate from Wayne State University in Administration and Supervision. Throughout his career Dr. Darga has earned many accolades such as Teacher of the Year with the Detroit Public Schools and High School Principal of the Year. He had significant responsibility for the design and construction of a high school building, led the design of a Freshman Academy, supported the development of a robust Advanced Placement Program, and implemented strategies to cultivate a positive learning culture.
