Marc Shepard Marc Shepard is Manager of the newly created Cyber, C4ISR and Vehicle Protection Systems Department at General Dynamics Land Systems. While at GDLS Mr. Shepard has worked as a senior engineering specialist in the Systems Engineering, Materials Engineering & Survivability, Vehicle & Crew Protection and Advanced Programs organizations. He has led GDLS Research and Development projects in the area of cyber resiliency, in conjunction with domestic and international partners and Governments. Mr. Shepard’s cyber teams are currently executing cyber resiliency activities across all current and future GDLS vehicle platforms, ensuring holistic protection.

Mr. Shepard is also an expert in the field of Survivability and Hit Avoidance Systems, managing numerous programs. Mr. Shepard has significant experience in the analysis of Active Protection System technologies and their applicability to military vehicles, development of APS and the interaction of APS onto ground combat vehicles. Mr. Shepard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business degree from Oakland University and a Defense Technology Professional Certificate in Infrared & Electro-Optical Technology from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Shepard was named GDLS Engineer of the year for 2014, and GDLS President’s Award winner for 2017.
