Modeling, Simulation and Software (MS2)
The U.S. Army has entered of time of urgent modernization and must field technology quickly. The U.S. Army must have the ability to fail early in order to field technology quickly, which is most efficiently done through modeling and simulation. The vision is to reach a point where nearly all systems have been developed in a virtual environment in order to have a clear understanding of the operational capability of the technology before any physical prototype is built. Soldier touch points are included along the way to ensure the simulations are realistic and to better understand how our operators will utilize the technologies. As a result, the MS2 Technical Session focuses on physics based modeling, immersive simulation, software, testing, validation, cross-cutting technologies to include the development of advanced tools and methodologies, and their application to military ground vehicles across their entire life cycles.
