ROTC Awards Banquet

All Services - ROTC Awards Banquet

As most Michigan universities and colleges are temporarily closing their doors, students are being requested to move out of their dorms and take classes online. The ROTC programs are following suit by supporting the universities’ decisions and actions. As a result, the Chapter has decided to cancel the 63rd Annual Michigan ROTC Awards Banquet which was scheduled for April 3rd. Those who had already paid to attend will receive a full refund, but it may take a little time to process.

Despite the ROTC Banquet’s cancellation, the Chapter still intends to recognize the Michigan cadets and midshipmen for their hard-work, dedication and commitment through a variety of channels, including Social Media. Thus, organizations who chose to sponsor this extremely impactful and gratifying initiative have the option to maintain their support, or request a full refund. The Michigan Chapter intends to ensure all those who maintain their sponsorships will also receive proper recognition throughout the local ceremonies and the Chapter’s Social Media blitz.

We apologize for any inconvenience these decisions may cause you and your organization; however, the health and safety of our members and event attendees are our top priority. Be safe and we look forward to seeing everyone again, hopefully at the Michigan Defense Expo on May 20-22.

The ROTC Awards Recognition Banquet is one of the Chapters signature events that provide the NDIA Michigan community the opportunity to recognize the academic and leadership accomplishments of approximately 90 cadets and midshipmen enrolled in Michigan ROTC programs.

This event focuses on the accomplishments of future users of the material and services we provide, as well as demonstrate community involvement. The Banquet also provides a social networking opportunity for Government and the local Defense industry leadership to come together.

The evening offers a unique opportunity for industry to recognize and demonstrate our support to the young men and women from within the State of Michigan who will rely on our equipment and services for success in the future as they take on obligations as officers in our Armed Services.

The Awards Banquet is sponsored by the NDIA Michigan Chapter and supported by the Greater Michigan Armed Forces Week Committee, Association of the United States Army and the Navy League. Additionally, approximately 20 corporate member companies serve as event sponsors.
